Defect: EZ Loader Adjustable Boat Trailers, Inc. (EZ Loader) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Adjustable Steel and Aluminum trailers manufactured May 27, 2014, to September 11, 2014. In the affected trailers, the inner metal bar that acts as the suspension spring may break.

Risk: If the suspension fails, the trailer may be more difficult to control. Additionally, failure of the suspension may result in wheel separation. Either condition could increase the risk of a crash.

Fix: EZ Loader will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair the trailers, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on October 27, 2014. Owners may contact EZ Loader customer service at 1-800-398-5623.

Service bulletins (1)

Technical service bulletins are repair instructions manufacturers send dealers for known issues. Unlike recalls, the fix is not automatically free — but naming the bulletin at the service desk can save diagnosis time and support goodwill repairs.
