Suspension:rear:shock Absorber 2017-04-25 · campaign 17V274000 · 568 vehicles

Defect: Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Multistrada 1200 Enduro motorcycles. The motorcycle's rear shock absorber lower shock-end eyelet may crack and possibly detach from the swingarm.

Risk: If the rear shock absorber detaches from the swingarm, the motorcycle's handling would be affected, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear shock absorber assembly, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin May 22, 2017. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-800-231-6696. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-17-002.

Structure:motorcycle:kickstand/Center Stand 2015-10-09 · campaign 15V637000 · 869 vehicles

Defect: Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Multistrada 1200 and 1200 S motorcycles manufactured December 1, 2014, to June 11, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the side-stand may break, due to an incorrect length of the side-stand support tube.

Risk: If the side-stand breaks, the motorcyle would fall over, increasing the risk of injury to the rider and/or the passenger.

Fix: Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side-stand support tubes, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on November 5, 2015. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-800-231-6696. The recall number for this recall is RCL-15-003.

Service bulletins (49)

Technical service bulletins are repair instructions manufacturers send dealers for known issues. Unlike recalls, the fix is not automatically free — but naming the bulletin at the service desk can save diagnosis time and support goodwill repairs.
