Defect: Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2018 Multistrada 1260, 1260S, and Pikes Peak motorcycles. The side stand may be improperly welded, potentially causing the stand to break.

Risk: If the stand breaks the motorcycle may unexpectedly fall over, increasing the risk of injury.

Fix: Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side stand, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 2, 2020. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-19-004.

Service bulletins (27)

Technical service bulletins are repair instructions manufacturers send dealers for known issues. Unlike recalls, the fix is not automatically free — but naming the bulletin at the service desk can save diagnosis time and support goodwill repairs.
