Defect: Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain 2020-2025 LPSDT, LPSGT, and LPXDT vacuum excavator trailers. The trailer frame may crack or break, reducing the trailer's stability while being towed.
Risk: Trailer instability can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: Dealers will install reinforcement plates on the trailer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 24, 2025. Owners may contact Vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. Vermeer's number for this recall is VMV0103.
Service bulletins (4)
Technical service bulletins are repair instructions manufacturers send dealers for known issues. Unlike recalls, the fix is not automatically free — but naming the bulletin at the service desk can save diagnosis time and support goodwill repairs.
