Defect: Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. (Coach and Equipment) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Phoenix, and 2025-2026 Metrolite transit buses, equipped with certain S-Series wheelchair platform lifts. The electrical contactor may fail, preventing the controls from stopping the lift.
Risk: A wheelchair lift that continues to move while occupied increases the risk of injury.
Fix: Dealers will correct the wiring by installing two diodes, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 31, 2026. Owners may contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464.
Equipment Adaptive/Mobility:wheelchair Restraints/Securement:critical Fasteners 2026-05-22 · campaign 26V333000 · 677 vehicles
Defect: Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. (Coach and Equipment) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Phoenix and 2026 Metrolite buses, equipped with certain QRT-360 wheelchair retractors. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
Risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 5, 2026. Owners may contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464.
