Defect: Starcraft is recalling certain model year 2013 Autumn Ridge and Travel Star travel trailers manufactured January 24, 2013, through February 27, 2013 and equipped with a power converter supplied by Progressive Dynamics, Inc. The affected power converters, used in recreational vehicles to convert A/C power, have internal components that may short circuit.
Risk: An electrical short may lead to a vehicle fire.
Fix: Starcraft will notify owners and dealers will modify the affected power converters free of charge. The safety recall began on March 20, 2013. Owners may contact Starcraft at 1-800-945-4787.
Service bulletins (2)
Technical service bulletins are repair instructions manufacturers send dealers for known issues. Unlike recalls, the fix is not automatically free — but naming the bulletin at the service desk can save diagnosis time and support goodwill repairs.
