Defect: Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Axis 25.6 and 2018-2021 Vegas 25.6 motorhomes. The heat shield between the LP tank and chassis muffler was not installed.
Risk: A missing heat shield increases the risk of a fire.
Fix: Dealers will install a heat shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2021. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000228.
Service bulletins (1)
Technical service bulletins are repair instructions manufacturers send dealers for known issues. Unlike recalls, the fix is not automatically free — but naming the bulletin at the service desk can save diagnosis time and support goodwill repairs.
